Vasil Levski High School is a state founded comprehensive school of a 12-year cycle of education, situated in Velingrad (Bulgaria) which is a mountain SPA resort in the Southwest of Bulgaria, in the Rhodopi Mountains. It was officially pronounced as "The SPA capital of the Balkans" because of its 70 hot mineral springs and the numerous SPA and Wellness hotels and guest houses. It is an all-year tourist destination.

There are 577 students and 52 highly motivated teachers in our school. It ranks among the best in the country. Our vision is expressed in the slogan "A SCHOOL WITH TRADITIONS IS A SCHOOL WITH A FUTURE". An interactive learning environment is built to shape and implement the EU key competences and skills that foster personal development, active participation in civil society and social inclusion. The school is provided with open and flexible training that is essential for the 21st century skills.

We offer extensive all-round learning with a view to further study of English, Humanities and ICT. For more than 20 years our school has had a tradition in intensive English language learning. Our students have won a number of national and international English language contests in Creative writing, Public speaking and Debating.

Furthermore, last year our school was given the title "innovative" school by the Ministry of Education for the implementation of ICT in the management of the institution, relying on the further introduction of ICT and cloud technologies at all levels of the educational process.

One of our priorities at school is raising an awareness among the students and their parents of the importance of environmental education as a step towards a better world and a better future. Our school organizes a number of extracurricular activities engaging the students with the problems of pollution and effective ways of solving them. The school curriculum also allows most of the subjects at school to deal with environmental issues and we have integrated and CLIL lessons on the topics.

Also, one of the missions of our school is to create a tolerant, green, eco-friendly community, aware of the environmental challenges and ready to give their fair share of prevention and care. For these reasons we believe that our participation in this project will be beneficiary for students, teachers and parents alike.

The key people in this project are a team of experienced teachers:
