Our school was built in 1971 and it was the third lyceum in Limassol. After the Turkish invasion of 1974, the school was divided into two sections because of the high amount of students. The first part were the students that were attending school in the morning and the second part in the night time. In addition, the school had the highest number of students in the whole country. The School is located in the city of Limassol (in the south of Cyprus). The school is located in St. John's region of Limassol, an area with residents of low income criteria, as are many of our students. Our high school tries to encourage these students and educate them to have a good academic career. We have been providing education to the students from the age of 15 to 18 for three years. Our school is a public organization and it is funded publicly. We have about 500 students from different backgrounds and 90 teachers approximately who are not working all the time in our school and four other staff. As a school our main aim is to prepare our students to university to get a professional academic career. We teach a lot of foreign languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian and Turkish). As a secondary school we are more active and teach our students to be mindful about their environment, culture, social values, other cultures, and other social values. We always write articles to the local newspapers to disseminate the activities that are held by our school. We have some students who have difficulties learning logically and lack of motivation. As it is seen that they could only learn by doing physical activities, our student advisor calls them as kinesthetic learners and encourages them and looks for the learning and teaching methods. We would like to look for good practices and evolve new ways and methods for promoting the students' learning motivation in our school and district during this partnership.

We made some research work in Environment and we want through our partners to involve as many students as we can about Environment lessons. This will give the students new perspectives about Environmental way of thinking. Mr Nikolas Nikolaou is an expert youth worker with experience in a variety of fields about the environment, Director of the Environmental Department of 'NOSTOS (volunteer organization about environment) and president of NGO ACPELIA. Mr Nikolaou is the one that guided all these school projects since 2015 and the participants are the ones who worked in some of these projects.

The coordinator of our school (Nikolas Nikolaou, physics teacher in high school) has previous experience by taking part in many seminars and actions related to Environment, Non Formal Education, Entrepreneurship and Discrimination. If Mr Nikolaou leaves from the school, Spyros Onisilou (teacher of ICT) or Maria Hajimichael (teacher of languages) could replace him.
