LTTA - Learning Teaching and Training Activities

Accompanying Ts - different every time, involve several members of staff.

Selection of teachers: Questionnaire with items referring to project topic, ability to communicate in English at basic level. Other criteria include: motivation for the project, willingness to get involved, commitment to objectives, availability - all expressed in a one-on-one interview. Interviewers: project coordinators for each school.

1. Selection of students: Ss will present a letter of application and go through an interview (motivation for participating, knowledge of topic, basic level of English). All partners apply the same criteria to the Ss who will take part in the mobilities: learners with no behavioral issues, but some of them with various difficulties, economic, educational, health, geographical - providing access to less fortunate Ss. In every mobility will be different Ss (more learners involved)

2. Preparation: research on city and country of destination, behaviour that might not be acceptable, a few simple phrases in the native language for basic communication, exchanging money in the necessary currency. Ss are advised to be respectful to one another's way of life, culture, and tradition.

3. Safety:

-All participants must have the written permission from both their parents to take part in the project and the mobility as well (possible conflicts in the family - divorce, separation, etc.)

-Before mobility, participating Ts will have meetings with Ss & parents to sign documents about responsibility, behaviour (no alcohol and drug consumption, no smoking, no leaving the group/accommodation without informing the T) and organization during the trip (luggage, right type of clothes for current weather)

-Each will have a health insurance for the time of the mobility (travel days and LTTA) and a travel insurance with repatriation

-The ratio of Ts and Ss is adequate: 2 Ts & 4 Ss for each country

-Each participant (Ss & Ts) will bring a medical certificate from family doctor ensuring they don't have a chronical or contagious disease or any medical condition that will prevent participation in mobility (allergy, food intolerance)

-Flight tickets will be taken in advance with storno insurance, in case the trip gets cancelled due to an unexpected event (e.g. illness, accident, death)

-Ss will check if their documents (passports, ID, school report card if needed) are still valid: passports min. 3 months, report cards signed and stamped by headmaster for current school year

-The Ss' documents will be kept by the Ts, to avoid loss, misplacement or theft

-Ts and Ss will be in constant contact, via phone number, email, Messenger, WhatsApp and other apps. Parents' contact details will be included in a database

-Ss will always have min. 10 euros on them in case they get lost and need transport back to group

-Ts will ensure accommodation is adequate for Ss, asking partners for details and relevant images, if needed.
